The Film & Drama teachers’ seminar is developed and facilitated by Taryn Bok, screen acting lecturer at the Open Window department of Film Arts with the express purpose of initiating a dialogue between the training and commercial drama environments in South Africa, with a particular emphasis placed on screen acting. To this end, teachers working in drama from a cross section of Gauteng based high schools have been invited to attend the seminar featuring prominent individuals from the current commercial film and television industry.

TIFFANY BARBUZANO majored in directing and acting at WITS University (BA HON in Dramatic Art). She recently won the SAFTA for “BEST ACTRESS IN A DRAMA” for her role as Danny in 4PLAY - Sex Tips for Girls, and is about to shoot a part for “The Good Lie” directed by Phillipe Falardeau.

Tiffany was one of the writers, producers and stars of Guinness world record holding “Shotgun Garfunkel ” - The fastest film ever made.

JENINE COLLOCOTT studied theatre creation under the internationally acclaimed pedagogue Giovanni Fusetti, at his drama school Helikos, in Florence, Italy. Before that she studied at the film school, AFDA, in Milpark Johannesburg where she graduated in 2005 with a BA Honours degree.

Future theatre projects include; Making Mandela, about the childhood of Nelson Mandela for which she received two grants from the National Arts Council one for script writing and the second for production in 2013; And secondly Shot, a one-man show with Antony Coleman, the third in the trilogy of one-man shows dealing primarily with the male psyche.
